Position: Software Architect

In this vital role you will work with the system architects to improve the behavior, performance and scalability of a variety of Systems applications developed across our Enterprise. You will be a technical mentor across the Engineering organization. You will design and have a in depth understanding of the interaction, dependencies and interfaces between the system components of a variety of products. You will use software tools, analytical and simulation models to exercise the systems, measure, analyze data and predict storage systems performance. Working with tech leads you will isolate bottlenecks and propose solutions to remove them. To be successful in this role you need to have a firm understanding of computer science, multi-threaded programming, OOP, database technologies, highly scalable architectures, networking topologies and design, storage, multi-server environments.


QUALIFICATIONS:

BSCS degree/MS highly preferred plus fifteen (15) years experience or MS degree plus twelve (12) years software development experience. Minimum of ten (7) years of n-tier architecture, design and development experience is required. Minimum of 12 years of server side software development in a major programming language (C, C ++ or Java) is required. Experience in .NET Framework and C# is a plus. Alternatively enterprise level development in Java related technologies will be considered. In depth knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server and/or Oracle) is required and experience in database performance tuning is a plus. Good understanding of the hardware components typical in a large scale multi-server environment is a required. Good understanding of large storage technologies and related topologies (NAS, SAN, etc.) is a plus. Working knowledge of networking, TCP/IP family of protocols, secure socket communications is a plus. Good understanding of typical network topologies, the roles of different components, ability to perform bandwidth analysis is also a plus. Experience with network load balancers is a plus. Intimate knowledge and working experience with Windows Server operating systems, Windows APIs is required, Clustering Technologies is a plus,. Good understanding of web development platforms- ASP and ASP.NET is a plus. Knowledge of Adobe Flash related technologies is a plus The candidate must have excellent organizational skills, good oral and written communication skills, have a high level of interpersonal skills. Must be a self motivated team player with the ability to work in a customer oriented, very fast-paced and demanding environment with minimal supervision. Must be at least 21 years old. Must be able to work overtime as needed. Must be able to obtain a gaming card upon employment. A security investigation will be conducted. Some travel may be required.
